About Us

International Preschools was created to fill a couple of huge gaps in preschool education worldwide. First, there is very little consistency among preschools, much less across international boundaries. We were distressed that there are virtually no educational options for parents of preschoolers living overseas, so over time we hope to expand internationally.  The second gap we noticed that bothered us on a more human level was the quality of education available to preschoolers around the world. Children's habits of thought are determined in the first five years of life. There is evidence that the mind is still essentially doing its hardwiring during this crucial period, leading to assertions that children should be exposed to second languages, fine art, and classical music in early childhood. We believe that exposing children to cultural artifacts is important, but International Preschools takes a step back and looks at the actual working of the mind. We want to provide an educational experience for children wherein they can learn not only ABCs and 123s but also how to think. How to learn. How to question and discover. That's what we're about.
