Goals

Program Goals

The mission of International Preschools is to become the premier provider of academic preschool education worldwide. International Preschools is dedicated to enriching young minds with a lifetime love for knowledge and learning. In pursuit of these goals, the school will maintain accessibility, quality teacher training and a published curriculum, in addition to the ongoing evaluation of programs and procedures as per current educational research, the changing needs of kindergartens, local customs, and legal requirements. International Preschools envisions a populace of global citizens dedicated to the values of respect, responsibility and justice, and will make its every action reflect this ideal for its students and the world.


Students at IPS are assessed twice a year in a comprehensive student assessment designed specifically by the school to align with the curriculum and program goals. Some examples of overall functional goals include:

  • Learn to recognize and produce shapes, colors, letters and numbers
  • Develop gross motor skills such as balancing, hopping and skipping
  • Become proficient in stating their personal information (name, birthday, address and phone number)
  • Develop fine motor skills like stringing beads, coloring, using scissors and writing
  • Learn appropriate language for conflict resolution
  • Follow three-step directions
  • Identify internal and external body parts
  • Learn days, months, weather and how to tell time
  • Become independent in getting dressed, grooming, serving food/drinks and using the bathroom
  • Together, form a line or circle
