PARENTS GROUP OVERVIEW |
IPS is excited to have an active and involved PTO to make IPS not just a wonderful school, but a vibrant, friendly community!
Upon enrollment, every parent automatically becomes a member of The IPS Parent Teacher Organization, known as IP PTO. From our IP PTO, a group of parents volunteer each year to serve on the Executive Committee. These parents are responsible for leading a range of activities and events throughout the year, enhancing our children’s educational experience. Our primary goal as a PTO is to build community, so that parents, children and teachers have a wonderful experience here. Examples of activities planned by the PTO include: parents meetings, fall/spring picnics, parent socials, and the annual auction or other fundraisers. Our secondary goal is fundraising to support donations to enhance our kids experience with things that fall outside of the operating budget, which is funded by tuition. Every year, some of the money raised is allocated to PTO events and field trips – for example, last year the older kids went to the High Museum during Artistic Genius month – and all the kids enjoyed our in house field trips, such as a visit from ZooMobile. Enjoy the year! |
Fundraising Goals
Our goal each year is to create opportunities to build and maintain a warm feeling of school community and raise funds to support the school's growing needs. This year we plan to enhance our outdoor play area with more creative and natural elements. Our fundraising pays for 5K-K Field Trips and exciting guests/performers at school each month that support the school's curriculum. We also love to create plenty of opportunities for teacher appreciation. If you'd like to learn more or help, please contact us at: [email protected] |
